Summary
One night Harvey is bored playing in his room when he hears a noise at his window. What is it? A short man, Rictus. He flies through his window and asks if Harvey wants to have some fun. Rictus tells Harvey all about a house called Mr. Hood's Holiday House where Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas happen every day and kid can have unlimited food and fun. Harvey travels with Rictus to the house leaving his parents without a clue. When he comes to the house he meets a nice, old woman named Mrs. Griffin. She gives him lots of food and tells Harvey to find Wendell, another young boy that is at the house. Harvey and Wendell play and are there for a couple days. After a while Harvey gets bored and misses his parents. He calls his parents to let them know that he is there. They tell him that they set it up and they are happy he is having fun. Harvey is very happy and re-finds the fun at the house. Harvey is there for a couple more days and he says he wants to go home. Mrs. Griffin tells Harvey that he can't leave so Harvey tries to run away. He can't find his way back. Will he ever find his way back? Will he ever be able to leave? Has Harvey been there longer than he really thinks? And do his parents actually approve of him being at Mr. Hood's House?
